Witte Museum - Week 2
Hey everyone!
This past week was very low key compared to my first. I have settled
in well and the first week nerves have worn off. I now am rolling
with the kicks.

I delved further into my research about jacals and log cabins.
I also got to begin planning on what to do with these spaces in
order to make them more interactive. More and more of the things
I do here at the Witte are reminding me of the experiences I
had while working on the group project during Washington Week.

A lot of the lexicon structure is very similar between the two
projects. Although, this time, I have to take into account the
marketing and operation aspects rather than focusing on the programming.
I also have done some interactive work to gain more insight into what
visitors are looking for.

Talking to visitors really gave me a sense of the shared experience
that occurs in museums. Not only is it a collaborative effort on the
museum staff’s part, but there is also a collaboration that occurs
with the visitors as well. I am taking in so much information and it
is really broadening my perspectives on what museums can be.
